Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to say “thank you” to the folks who made it out to the beautiful Nashoba Valley Winery last Saturday, October 14. It was a perfect day for a wine touring, networking and meeting new people and reconnecting with longtime members.
The tour was led by Josh who guided us all around the winery, showed us the equipment for wine making, how to season the barrels, and detailed the differences in the wines we sampled, plum, Renaissance and a riesling. It was an easy day and we also partook in the delectable offerings from the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck for an informal lunch and discussed a variety of topics, notably the “words and phrases we can’t use” lists that many of us have had to follow in our workday. It is a growing and ever evolving list, some terms you may not understand as sensitive to those with a disability, such as “morning stand-up” that is often used for the first meeting of the day.
Also, writers Sara Gilg and her husband joined us and shared that they were also celebrating their 23 rd wedding anniversary, what a nice way to celebrate!
It was a fun and informative event and I hope to see you at the next one!
