The winter, such as it has been ’round these parts, is nearly at an end, and spring is soon to follow. The STC election is already here. Be sure to vote! You should have received your credentials, and you can vote at the election page until 9 March 2020 at 5 pm Eastern. The STC website has information about the election slate, and you’ll see some familiar names there. Likewise, registration is open for the Summit (15–18 May, 2020, in Bellevue, WA).
Our March chapter program is a webinar by Liz Herman on using our tech comm skills in the service of project management. The program is March 18 at 6:30 pm Eastern, and you can register on Eventbrite.
Beyond that, we’re gearing up for InterChange (April 24-25 at the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center). The preparations have been hectic, but I’m grateful for the timely influx of volunteers, who are bringing some new ideas. I’m also excited at the lineup of presenters! Look for registration and speaker information on our website soon. Talk it up to your colleagues: this year we’re offering group rates, so your team can be sure to catch all the sessions.
After InterChange things become hazy. The plan for next year depends on a healthy administrative council, and that requires volunteers to step up to leadership roles. We’re running a smooth and economical operation, but none of it happens automatically. Don’t assume someone else will do it.
