January 21st Program:

DITA State of the Union

with Dr. Stan Doherty

What’s going on with DITA these days? DITA State of the Union

DITA, the Darwin Information Typing Architecture, has been widely adopted by many Tech Comm organizations.

In this presentation, Stan Doherty, a founding member of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee and Senior Information Architect at Akamai Technologies, provides an update, a DITA State of the Union address, if you will, to answer questions like these:

  • If I’m not using DITA yet...
    • Should I be? How large does a company have to be to benefit from DITA?
    • What types of companies have implemented DITA? How widespread is its adoption?
    • When my organization implements DITA, what can I expect as a writer?

  • If I am already using DITA...
    • What’s coming in DITA 1.3?
    • What tools are available for working with DITA?
    • I’ve heard there are some issues with DITA interoperability regarding content and tools. What are the issues? Should I be worried?
Join us on January 21 to learn the answers to these questions and more. Bring your own DITA-specific questions to benefit from Stan’s in-depth knowledge.
